About Me

Owner, Tangela Mills, LCSW

I am a Licensed as Clinical Social Worker in the state of Texas. I am also certified as a Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP) and Mindfulness Informed Professional (CMIP).

I have an Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a minor in Biology from the University of Mary Hardin -Baylor in Belton, TX, and a Masters of Social Work from the University of Texas in San Antonio.

I became a clinical social worker because of my passion for helping others and realizing that I have a greater calling to help individuals through challenging life experiences to become the best version of themselves to self –actualization through motivation, empowerment, and honest communication.

I have over 28 yrs experience of combined non-clinical and clinical experience including case management, domestic violence and sexual assault victim’s advocacy, recovery care coordination for Army soldiers/veterans, crisis assessment /intervention, community engagement, training, and mental health therapist.

Every client is important at TruEmbrace Therapy, PLLC. I see you the person, not just your struggles, and understand it wasn’t easy for you to take this first step. My goal is to ALWAYS provide genuine, compassionate, person centered, and holistic care through a non biased lens in a space where you feel safe and valued.

Why the name TruEmbrace Therapy, PLLC? The name TruEmbrace has personal significance, and is derived from the two words: truly (adverb) which is used to emphasize that a particular statement, feeling, etc is sincere or real, and embrace (noun)an act of accepting or supporting something willingly or enthusiastically.
